The Gelocast elastic bandage is a longitudinally elastic bandage with a length of 7.0 meters and a width of 8.0 centimeters.It consists of 71% viscose and 29% polyamide and is coated with a zinc gel compound based on hydroxyethyl cellulose.This bandage is latex-free and is characterized by a low resting pressure and a high working pressure, which promotes venous return even in the deep veins.

Areas of application

The Gelocast elastic bandage is suitable as a compression bandage for phlebological indications such as chronic venous insufficiency, venous leg ulcer, phlebedema, thrombophlebitis and phlebothrombosis.It can also be used for support and relief bandages in diseases of the ligamentous and supporting apparatus, for example in sprains, dislocations, tendovaginitis and for further treatment after plaster fittings and to reduce post-traumatic edema.
