Instructions for use for Neurobion ampoules

Neurobion is a preparation that contains B group vitamins.It is used for neurological diseases caused by a proven deficiency of vitamins B1, B6 and B12 that cannot be corrected by taking these vitamins orally.Neurobion solution for injection is intended for use in adults.

The active ingredients in an ampoule of Neurobion injection solution are thiamine chloride hydrochloride (100 mg), pyridoxine hydrochloride (100 mg) and cyanocobalamin (1000 µg).The other ingredients are potassium cyanide, sodium hydroxide solution (4%) and water for injections.

Neurobion is used for neurological diseases caused by a proven deficiency of vitamins B1, B6 and B12 and which cannot be corrected by taking these vitamins orally.

Dosage and instructions for use

Adults should receive one ampoule of Neurobion solution for injection once a week.The injection should be given intramuscularly, preferably slowly and deeply into the gluteal muscle.The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.The application should only be carried out by qualified personnel.

The duration of use is determined by your doctor.After a maximum of four weeks, treatment with Neurobion injection solution should be stopped and switched to an oral dosage form.

Contraindications

Neurobion must not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients.The medicine must not be used on people under 18 years of age.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist to weigh up the risks and benefits of use.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Neurobion can have side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include hypersensitivity reactions such as sweating, rapid heartbeat, skin reactions with itching and hives, gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain, acne, eczema, reactions at the injection site and a reddish urine color.

Storage

Neurobion must be stored in the refrigerator and protected from frost.Syringes and needles must not be reused and must be disposed of immediately after use in a special puncture-proof container.

More information

Neurobion contains sodium and potassium, but in such small amounts that it is almost sodium-free and potassium-free.The injection of Neurobion should only be carried out by a doctor due to the risk of hypersensitivity reactions.
