Area of application

ABC Heat plasters with sensitive fleece have been specially developed for the external treatment of muscle pain in the lumbar spine and the neck and shoulder girdle.These plasters combine therapeutic warmth with a high level of comfort.The extra-soft gel plasters adapt to every movement and are therefore ideal for the shoulder and neck area.

Mode of action

The active ingredient nonivamide is a synthetic analogue of capsaicin, the pungent substance in the Capsicum plants.When applied externally, it penetrates the skin tissue and docks onto special binding sites for the body's own messenger substances.This initially leads to an increased release of certain transmitters and a local sensation of warmth.In a second phase, the perception of pain is reduced and the sensation of pain is thereby dampened.

Contraindications

These plasters should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to nonivamide or one of the other ingredients in the product, on previously damaged skin, open wounds, acute inflammation or skin infections, eczema or children under 18 years of age.Do not apply the patches to the eyes and mucous membranes.The product must not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Dosage

Recommended use of the ABC heat plasters with sensitive fleece:

Stick a ABC heat plaster with sensitive fleece onto a clean, dry and uninjured area of skin directly over the painful area.The ABC heat plaster with sensitive fleece should then remain on the skin area for approx. 4 - 8 hours.Without medical advice, ABC heat patches with sensitive fleece should not be used for longer than 3 weeks.

Notes

No prescription is required for this product.Keep this medicine out of the reach and reach of children.You must not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging after “Use by”.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.Do not store above 25°C.After opening, close the pack tightly and use within 3 months.

Side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Itching can often occur.Occasionally, local skin reactions such as skin redness, burning, rash can also occur with the formation of pustules, wheals or blisters.The active ingredient of the patch, nonivamide, causes local hyperemia with increased skin redness and a feeling of warmth in most patients.This reaction is part of the normal effect of the medicine and usually goes away within a short time after the patch is removed.Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if any of the side effects listed seriously affect you.
