Mode of action

The Wellion Calla blood glucose test strips consist of several layers that contain electrodes and a biological substrate.This substrate contains the enzyme glucose oxidase, which reacts with glucose in the blood.This reaction creates a current that is converted into a blood sugar value and displayed on the meter.

Dosage

Remove a test strip from the container and close the container immediately.Insert the test strip into the meter to activate it.On the display you will see a flashing blood drop icon and a test strip icon.Use a lancing device to obtain a drop of blood.Apply the test strip to the blood sample.The meter will beep when there is enough blood for the measurement.A countdown runs on the display and the measurement result is displayed after a few seconds.Further details on application can be found in the package insert.

Patient information

Do not use expired test strips.Check the expiration date on the test strip container and packaging.Discard the used test strip and lancet immediately after measurement.Please see the package insert for information about possible side effects.
