Areas of application

According to the anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature, Gentiana lutea, ethanol.Decoctum 5% is used to stimulate digestion in the intestinal area and its subsequent processes in the metabolic and limb system.These include disorders of movement and secretion activity in the upper gastrointestinal tract, such as flatulence, loss of appetite and nausea.It can also be used as a supportive treatment for chronic inflammatory bowel disease and inflammatory skin and joint diseases.

Active ingredient and composition

The active ingredient in Gentiana lutea, ethanol.Decoctum 5% is Gentiana lutea, ethanol.Decoctum D1.Other ingredients include ethanol in a concentration of 50% by volume.-%.

Contraindications and precautions

The medicine should not be used during pregnancy.If nausea or discolored stool persists, see a doctor.There is no adequately documented experience for children under 1 year of age, so it should not be used at this age.During breastfeeding, the medicine should only be used after consulting a doctor.

Application and dosage

Take Gentiana lutea, ethanol.Always take Decoctum 5% exactly as your doctor has told you.The usual dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over is 5 to 10 drops 3 to 4 times daily.Schoolchildren 6 to 11 years old should take 5 to 8 drops 1 to 3 times daily, while toddlers 1 to 5 years old can receive 3 to 5 drops 1 to 3 times daily.The drops should be taken diluted with water.The bottle should be shaken before use to ensure even distribution.

Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 1 week.If there is no improvement within this time, a doctor should be consulted.The duration of treatment for chronic illnesses should be agreed with your doctor.
