Directions for use of the article Formica D1 Formica, mother tincture, is used according to the anthroposophical understanding of man and nature to promote and structure metabolic processes with an increased tendency to deposit and harden. Chronic rheumatic diseases, gout, arthrosis, muscle hardening (myogelosis), neuralgia and eczema are among the areas of application. The mother tincture contains 36% alcohol by volume and should therefore be used with caution. Read the package leaflet and ask your doctor or pharmacist for further information. Formica is an anthroposophical medicinal product used to stimulate and structure metabolic processes in cases of increased tendency to sedimentation and hardening. It is used for various complaints such as chronic rheumatic diseases, gout, arthrosis, muscle hardening (myogelosis), neuralgia and eczema. There are no known contraindications to the use of Formica D12 and D30, but Formica Ø up to and including D6 should not be used if you are hypersensitive to formic acid. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using Formica. There are no known interactions with other medicinal products. There is no indication of side effects. In case of overdose, consult your doctor or pharmacist. The recommended dose for adults and schoolchildren from 6 years of age is Ø-D6: 1-3 times daily 5-10 drops, D12: up to 2 times daily 5-10 drops, D30: up to 1 times daily 5-10 drops. For children from 1 to 5 years of age the recommended dose is D3-D6: 1-3 times daily 5 drops, D12: up to 2 times daily 5 drops, D30: up to 1 times daily 5 drops. For infants in the 1st year of life, the recommended dose is D6: 1-3 times daily 3-5 drops, D12: up to 2 times daily 3-5 drops, D30: up to 1 times daily 3-5 drops. The drops are best taken diluted with water. The treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks. For chronic diseases, the duration of treatment should be discussed with the doctor. Formica should only be used from D6 onwards in children under 1 year of age. If you have forgotten a dose of Formica, do not take a double dose, but ask your doctor or pharmacist. There are no known side effects. However, if you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist. Also inform the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices about any side effects to ensure the safety of this medicine. Do not use the medicinal product after the expiry date stated on the label. The mother tincture and the liquid dilutions contain alcohol.
