Ambix port cannulas are safety port cannula systems that have been specifically developed for port puncture.They are characterized by a special spoon cut, which enables puncture of the port membrane with minimal punching.There are different versions of these port cannulas:

Ambix Intrastick Safe has an integrated adhesive that securely fixes the cannula to the skin.Ambix NONCORstick Safe is equipped with flexible wings and a comfortable skin support pad.Ambix Safe-Can is particularly suitable for bolus injections.

Clinical features

The Ambix port cannulas are equipped with a safety mechanism that prevents punctures, cuts and scratches.They are suitable for high-pressure application in radiological diagnostics.The needle-free connection valve K-Zero reduces the risk of catheter occlusions through neutral fluid displacement.

Handling features

When using the Ambix port cannulas, there is an audible and tactile signal indicating activation of the safety mechanism.No clamping technology is required.The cannulas can be cleaned with both wiping and spray disinfection.The colored needle caps and clamps on the NONCORstick Safe version enable the needle size to be identified quickly.
