Ampuwa plastic ampoule solution for injection/infusion is a sterile and pyrogen-free water for injection. It is used to dissolve and dilute medicinal products as an injection or infusion. Ampuwa is used according to the instructions for use of the added medicinal products. It is important to note that Ampuwa is hypotonic and should therefore not be administered without addition as this may lead to haemolysis. Ampuwa should only be administered in the form of a ready-to-use preparation in order to avoid osmotically induced disorders. The dosage and duration of use are according to the instructions for the respective medicinal product. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor or pharmacist before using Ampuwa.
