Instructions for use of Prac Tic for large dogs

Prac-tic is a spot-on solution designed specifically for large dogs weighing between 22.0 kg and 50.0 kg.This product is used to treat and prevent flea and tick infestations in dogs.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredient and composition

The active ingredient in Prac-tic is pyriprole with a concentration of 625 mg per pipette.A single dose is 5.0 ml. The product also contains 0.1% butylhydroxytoluene (E321) as an additional ingredient.

Areas of application

Prac-tic is used to treat and prevent flea infestations, including Ctenocephalides canis and C. felis species, in dogs.The insecticidal effectiveness against new flea infestations lasts at least four weeks.It is also used to treat and prevent tick infestations, including the species Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Ixodes scapularis, Dermacentor reticulatus, Dermacentor variabilis and Amblyomma americanum.The acaricidal effect against ticks also lasts four weeks.

Notes for the user

Contact of the skin, eyes and mouth with the veterinary medicinal product should be avoided.It is important to avoid direct contact with the treated animal until the treatment site has dried.Prac-tic is intended exclusively for dogs and must not be used on cats or rabbits.The product should not be administered orally and contact with the dog's eyes must be avoided.

Storage and disposal

The pipettes should be stored in the original blister packaging until use to protect them from light.The product must not be stored above 25°C.Unused veterinary medicinal products or waste materials derived from them should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.The veterinary medicinal product must not enter water bodies as this can be dangerous for fish and other aquatic organisms.
