Information for use with the article Miradent Plaquetest solution Mira-2-Ton: - Miradent Plaquetest Solution Mira-2-Ton is a product with the following characteristics: - Older plaque is displayed in blue, newer plaque in pink. - User-friendly and motivating. - Erythrosine and gluten free. - Staining can be removed by brushing the teeth. - The test can be performed once or twice a week for self-monitoring. - Application: 1) Use a balm, petroleum jelly or cream before use to prevent discolouration. 2) Put the Mira-2-Tone solution on a cotton swab or applicator. 3) Dab onto the areas of the teeth to be treated. 4) Remove excess solution with a suction cup. Problem areas become visible. 5) Rinse with water. 6) The treated teeth show a pink colour indicating newer plaque. 7) The dentist shows the patient the critical areas and advises on oral care. 8) Blue plaque shows older plaque, which is removed by the dentist. - The dyes are harmless for the intended use and can be removed by brushing the teeth. - Source: http://www.plaquetest.de As of 09/2020
