In adults, Iscucin Abietis Strength C can be used for malignant tumor diseases, including those with accompanying disorders of the hematopoietic organs, as well as for benign tumor diseases and defined precancerous lesions. It is also suitable for recurrence prevention after tumor operations and for chronic cross-border diseases such as Crohn's disease or chronic joint diseases.
Contraindications
Iscucin Abietis must not be used in cases of known allergy to mistletoe preparations, acute inflammatory or high fever diseases, chronic granulomatous diseases and florid autoimmune diseases as well as under immunosuppressive therapy. Its use is also not suitable for hyperthyroidism with tachycardia.
Precautions and warnings
In the case of primary brain and spinal cord tumors or intracranial metastases with a risk of increased intracranial pressure, the preparations should only be administered according to strict indications and under close clinical control.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Effects of the drug on pregnancy, the development of the unborn child, birth and on the development of the child after birth, in particular the development of blood formation and the immune system in the unborn child/infant, have not been studied. The possible risk to humans is therefore unknown.Caution is advised when used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Before using this medicine, ask your doctor for advice.

Dosage and application
The dosage is generally carried out individually according to the doctor's instructions. The treating doctor decides on the duration of use.The duration of use is in principle not limited and depends on the respective risk of recurrence and the individual condition or findings of the patient. It should last for several years, with breaks of increasing length as a rule.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Iscucin Abietis can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.A slight increase in body temperature and local inflammatory reactions at the subcutaneous injection site occur almost regularly at the beginning of therapy and are signs of the patient's reaction status.Temporary slight swelling of regional lymph nodes is also harmless. If there is a fever over 38°C or larger local reactions over 5 cm in diameter, the next injection should only be given after these symptoms have subsided and in a reduced strength or dose. The fever caused by Iscucin injection should not be suppressed by antipyretic drugs. If a fever lasts longer than three days, an infectious process or tumor fever should be considered.Excessive local reactions can be avoided by using a lower strength of the preparation or a smaller amount of the dose.In this case, it is recommended to apply 0.1 - 0.5 ml of the starch used using a 1 ml graduated syringe.
Localized or systemic allergic or allergoid reactions may occur, requiring discontinuation of the product and initiation of medical therapy.Activation of pre-existing inflammation and inflammatory irritation of superficial veins in the injection area are possible. Here, too, a temporary break in therapy is required until the inflammatory reaction subsides. The occurrence of chronic granulomatous inflammation (erythema nodosum) and autoimmune diseases (dermatomyositis) during mistletoe therapy has been reported.Symptoms of increased intracranial pressure in brain tumors/metastases during mistletoe therapy have also been reported.
