They grow up to 3 metres high and have a crooked habit. Mountain pine is used in naturopathy to treat colds, muscle and joint complaints and to improve indoor air. The essential oil of mountain pine has a fresh, resinous, clear and woody scent and has a clarifying and vitalising effect. It comes from Austria and is extracted from the branches. In aroma care, it is used as a cosmetic by mixing a maximum of 12 drops with 50 ml of almond oil.
