Echinest No. 160 Tablets are a homeopathic medicine for the treatment of colds with inflammation of the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract. It contains various active ingredients such as Echinacea, Senega, Hydrastis, Calcium carbonicum Hahnem., Silicea and Lachesis. The medicine should not be taken in the case of persistent, unclear or new complaints as well as in the case of high fever, purulent or bloody sputum. People with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients or to daisies should also not use it. Pregnant and breast-feeding women should consult their doctor before use, as there is insufficient experience of use at this stage. Echinest No. 160 tablets should be melted in the mouth, in acute conditions every half to a full hour, at most six times a day. In chronic courses they should be taken one to three times daily. Use should not last longer than two weeks without medical advice. Side effects such as skin rash, itching, swelling or breathing difficulties may occur in individual cases. People with known intolerances to certain sugars should only take the medicine after consulting a doctor. The preparation should not be used after the expiry date.
