Directions for use of the article Helixor M 0.01 mg Helixor A/-M/-P solution for injection contains extracts of fresh mistletoe and is used to treat tumour diseases. The various Helixor preparations are made from fir mistletoe (Helixor A), apple tree mistletoe (Helixor M) and pine mistletoe (Helixor P). They are used in accordance with the anthroposophical understanding of man and nature. Helixor can be used for malignant and benign tumour diseases, defined precancerous conditions and to prevent relapses after tumour operations. Certain precautions should be observed before use, e.g. in case of hypersensitivity to mistletoe preparations or certain diseases. The dosage is administered subcutaneously, depending on the stage of the disease and individual treatment success. Possible side effects include increased body temperature, local inflammatory reactions and allergic reactions. The duration of use is determined by the attending physician and can be several years.
