Directions for use: Kiltix for medium-sized dogs. Indications: Kiltix for medium-sized dogs is used to control wood ticks, brown dog ticks and fleas in dogs. The collar also protects against new infestations and is effective for up to 7 months after application. Composition: One collar weighing 30.2 g (48 cm length) contains the active ingredients propoxur 3.02 g and flumethrin 0.68 g. Other ingredients are dibutyl adipate, propylene glycol octanoate decanoate, epoxidised soya bean oil, stearic acid, titanium dioxide (E171), iron oxide (E172) and polyvinyl chloride. Dosage and administration: Medium-sized dogs are given a collar with a length of 48 cm (30.2 g). The collar should be placed loosely around the neck and worn continuously. If necessary, the collar may need to be changed prematurely. For animals with shaggy, matted or greasy coats, the collar should only be worn after bathing and shampooing. The collar should be removed before swimming or bathing. The effectiveness of the collar may be reduced by frequent wetting. To reduce flea infestation in the environment, carpets and curtains should be treated with a vermin repellent and vacuumed regularly. Contraindications and side effects: The collar should not be used on animals with extensive skin lesions or sick and convalescent animals. Hypersensitivity may cause mild itching, in which case the collar should be removed immediately. Other side effects should be reported to the veterinarian or pharmacist. Instructions and storage: The collar is for external use only and should not be taken internally by dogs or humans. Hands should be washed thoroughly after use.
