UrgoK2 is a two-component compression system that consists of a short-stretch bandage and a long-stretch bandage.The exclusive PresSureSystem technology, based on pressure indicators, facilitates application with a correct stretch as well as a correct overlap according to the selected set.The product is classified as a medical device.No prescription is required for this product.

The benefits of UrgoK2 include comfortable wear during the day and night, which improves patient adherence.It allows easy wearing of shoes and provides good ankle mobility.Thanks to the PresSure system, application is easy, quick and accurate, with therapeutic pressure achieved the first time you apply it.The system produces a high compression pressure at the ankle of approximately 40 mmHg and has a high stiffness index that ensures continuous compression through a strong working pressure and a moderate resting pressure.This creates a massage effect that supports venous return and edema reduction.The compression system can remain in place for up to seven days.

Indications

UrgoK2 is used to treat venous leg ulcers and/or lower extremity edema in adults when strong compression pressure is recommended.

Contraindications

The compression system must not be used in moderate or severe arterial disease, especially with a current ankle brachial pressure index (A8) of ABIless than 0.8.Its use is also contraindicated in patients with phlegmatia coerulea dolens or septic phlebitis, edema in congestive heart failure, epifascial arterial bypass or known hypersensitivity to any of the components, especially latex.

Precautions

The use of this medical device should be carried out by a person trained in the application of compression bandages.Read the instructions for use thoroughly.The product is for single use only and should not be washed or sterilized.It must not be used in direct contact with a wound.In certain medical conditions such as arterial bypasses, heart failure, peripheral neuropathy, infected dermatitis around the ulcer or acute cellulitis, the compression system should only be used after referral to a specialist and under close medical supervision.If ABI is 1.3, media sclerosis is suspected, or there is a history of revascularization, an extensive vascular work-up is recommended before commencing compression therapy.In the case of an infected lower leg ulcer, the infection must be treated in combination with compression therapy.The effectiveness of UrgoK2 has been tested and validated for joint use by KTech and KPress.Follow the indicated application method to achieve the recommended therapeutic pressure.The PresSure system has been specially designed to make putting on the pads easier.If additional material is used to secure the bandage, this must be done with caution to avoid a reaction to this foreign material.According to medical instructions, the compression system should be worn continuously day and night until the next treatment.If discomfort, pain or skin reactions occur when using the product, the patient should contact their doctor.Any serious incident related to the product must be reported to the manufacturer and the relevant national authority.
