Milk Thistle Fruit Tea, 275 g

General information

The medicinal tea consists of dried fruits of milk thistle (Silybum marianum).Milk thistle is effective against flatulence and helps with gastrointestinal complaints, especially with functional disorders of the biliary system.No prescription is required for this product.

Tip: For all loose teas we recommend the practical tea clip for filter paper.

Application

Unless otherwise prescribed, 1 cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows is drunk 3 to 4 times a day: 1 teaspoon full (approx. 3.5 g) of crushed milk thistle fruit is poured over with boiling water (approx. 150 ml) shortly before use and passed through a tea strainer after about 10 to 15 minutes.

Instructions for use

If your symptoms worsen or there is no improvement after 7 days, you should definitely see a doctor.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.

Ingredients

100 g of medicinal tea contains the active ingredient: 100 g of milk thistle fruits.Other components are not included.

Milk thistle fruit, a medicinal tea to be taken orally, is used for digestive problems, especially for functional disorders of the efferent biliary system.

Special Notes

This medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to milk thistle fruits or other plants from the daisy family.Particular caution is required when using this medicine if the symptoms described in Chapter 1 increase.In this case, ask your doctor or pharmacist.If you have jaundice or unusual discoloration of your urine or stool, you should see a doctor.

It should only be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age after consulting a doctor in order to rule out other underlying diseases if necessary.

Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using or have recently used any other medicines, even if they are non-prescription medicines.There are no known interactions.

There are no sufficient studies on the use of milk thistle fruits during pregnancy and breastfeeding.Therefore, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this tea during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Side effects

Like all medicines, milk thistle fruit can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include mild gastrointestinal complaints, headaches or allergic reactions.The frequency is not known.

Storage

Keep medicines out of the reach of children.You may no longer use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the outer carton after “Use by”.The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.Store in the original packaging and store away from light and moisture.
