EFFIPRO® - Spot on for medium-sized dogs

EFFIPRO® is a spot-on preparation for the treatment of flea and tick infestations in dogs.The active ingredient fipronil is known for its high effectiveness and good tolerance for both humans and animals.Fipronil has been used worldwide for over a decade to control flea and tick infestations in dogs.Despite frequent use, no resistance to these parasites has yet been reported.

Tolerability of EFFIPRO®

The active ingredient fipronil is distributed in the superficial layers of the skin and is not absorbed through the intact skin.Even when used regularly, Fipronil does not put any strain on the entire organism.It has a targeted effect on specific receptors in the nervous system of fleas and ticks.Since mammals and humans do not have comparable receptors, binding of the active ingredient is impossible when used as intended.This explains the high level of safety and tolerability of EFFIPRO® for both dogs and people.

Treatment interval

Treatment at monthly intervals is recommended in order to prevent infestation as effectively as possible.

No prescription is required for this product.

Application

EFFIPRO® is intended for external use only.

The solution is dripped onto the skin according to the dog's body weight.The dosage is as follows:

1 Pipette of 0.67 ml per dog weighing 2 to 10 kg.

1 Pipette of 1.34 ml per dog weighing 10 to 20 kg.

1 Pipette of 2.68 ml per dog weighing 20 to 40 kg.

1 Pipette of 1.34 ml and 1 pipette of 2.68 ml per dog with a body weight of 40 to 60 kg.

2 Pipettes of 2.68 ml for dogs over 60 kg.

Step 1: Remove the pipettes from the packaging and separate one pipette.Hold the pipette vertically and tap the tip so that the contents are in the main body of the pipette.

Step 2: Bend the cap along the marked line.

Step 3: Part the fur so that the skin is visible.Place the pipette tip on the skin and squeeze the pipette to empty the contents directly onto the skin.For dogs, it is recommended to apply to various places on the back line.Licking off the solution should be avoided.

Care should be taken to ensure that animals do not lick each other after treatment.The fur should not be excessively wet as this will cause the hair to stick together at the application site.However, if this occurs, it will disappear within 24 hours of treatment.Whitish solution residue may be visible up to 48 hours after treatment.

To optimally eliminate a flea and/or tick infestation, a treatment plan can be drawn up in consultation with your veterinarian based on the presence of parasites on site.Please note further information on use in the instructions for use.

Notes

Due to lack of data, it is recommended not to use the veterinary medicinal product in puppies younger than 2 months and/or weighing less than 2 kg.Do not use on sick or recovering animals.Do not use on rabbits as side effects and even death may result.This veterinary medicine was developed specifically for dogs.Do not use on cats as this may lead to overdose.Do not use if you are hypersensitive to the active ingredient or any of the other ingredients.

Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.

Active ingredient: 1 pipette (1.34 ml solution) contains 134 mg fipronil.Other ingredients: butylhydroxyanisole, butylhydroxytoluene.
