Instructions for use of the article BD Posiflush SP Flushing system Prefilled syringes: The BD Posiflush SP Flushing System is a pre-filled 10 ml syringe of saline (NaCl 0.9%) used for flushing intravenous catheters. It meets all requirements for effective catheter flushing and reduces catheter-associated complications. The flushing system consists of specially designed components such as a syringe plunger and barrel to prevent reflux, a transparent label for easy identification and a clearly readable scale with 0.5 ml graduation. The syringe also has a secure connection through the BD Luer-Lok attachment. The BD Posiflush SP irrigation system complies with European Directive 93/42/EWG and is classified as a medical device. It is supplied in sterile individual packaging and is intended for single use. The product is latex-free.
