Information for use on the article Böhm Mönchspfeffer 4 mg Film-Coated Tablets: This medicinal product contains the active ingredient dry extract of monk's pepper fruits and is used to treat rhythm disturbances of menstruation, feelings of tension and swelling in the breasts and monthly recurring complaints before the onset of menstruation. It gently regulates the menstrual cycle and can be taken by girls with first menstrual symptoms up to the support of premenstrual symptoms in menopause. The dosage is 1 tablet daily, regardless of the meal. It should be taken over at least 3 monthly cycles. If there is a feeling of tension and swelling in the breasts or if menstruation is disturbed, a doctor should be consulted first to rule out possible diseases. The medicine is not suitable for people with hypersensitivity to the ingredients, breast tumours or tumours of the pituitary gland. It should not be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
