Nene-Lax 0.5 are laxative suppositories for babies with the active ingredient glycerol. They are used to treat constipation, for bowel evacuation before rectal examinations, and for bowel evacuation in cases of haemorrhoids and anal fissures. The leaflet contains important information and should be read carefully. The usual dosage is 1 to 2 suppositories per day. The suppositories are inserted into the anus about 20 to 30 minutes before defecation. The medicine is available without prescription, but medical advice is recommended. Side effects are not known. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor or pharmacist before use. The medicinal product should be protected from heat and moisture and stored at temperatures below 25°C.
