It is used in traditional cooking and for skin and hair care. The coconut oil described here comes from organic farming and is gently dried, crushed and cold pressed. It is not refined, bleached, deodorised or hydrogenated and is therefore of the highest quality. Organic coconut oil from allcura has some good properties: it is heat stable and can be used for frying and baking. It is also aromatic and can be used in cold cooking, e.g. as a butter substitute. The oil is easily digestible and can be used quickly by the body for energy production. It is also ideal for skin and hair as it is quickly absorbed and protects the skin from moisture loss. Coconut oil contains 48% lauric acid, a highly digestible medium-chain fatty acid. It does not form any undesirable trans fatty acids.
