What is a grater skin?

Keratosis pilaris, also known as keratosis pilaris, is caused by a hereditary cone-shaped keratinization of the follicles, i.e. the hair ducts.Young people with dry skin are particularly affected, especially on the extensor sides of the upper arms and thighs.This hardening leads to a rough feeling, similar to a grater, which many find very unpleasant.

Area of application

Kerapil Emulsion helps treat rash skin.The product supports the skin in loosening calluses and provides intensive moisture to smooth and supple the skin.It can also be used for other skin problems such as dry, rough calluses on the palms or soles of the feet, elbows and knees, excessive formation of dry cuticles, dry and brittle nails and ingrowing hairs after shaving or epilation.

Mode of action

Kerapil Emulsion has an exfoliating effect and thus loosens calluses on the skin.The active ingredient ammonium lactate inhibits the excessive adhesion of horny cells to the skin and stimulates skin metabolism.This sustainably increases the skin's natural ability to bind water, which prevents further callus formation.The emulsion is quickly absorbed and is not greasy.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The most important active ingredients of Kerapil Emulsion are ammonium lactate with a proportion of 14% and a fat content of 17%.Other ingredients include Aqua, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Glycerin, Octyldodecanol, Glyceryl Stearate, Caprylic Acid/Capric Acid Triglycerides, Stearic Acid, Ceteareth-12, Zeolite, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Palmitate, Cocoglyceride, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Perfume, Propylparaben, Hexylcinnamaldehyde, Linalool,Hydroxycitronellal, geraniol, citronellol, benzyl alcohol and benzyl salicylate.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, Kerapil Emulsion should not be used.No prescription is required for this product.

Application

During the first three weeks of use, Kerapil Emulsion should be applied to the affected skin areas twice a day and massaged in gently.Daily use is enough to maintain success.The product should not be used immediately after shaving or on open skin areas.
