Cutimed Sorbact is an advanced wound dressing that physically fights infections.The dressing binds and inactivates germs through hydrophobic interaction without using chemical substances.

The special coating with DACC (dialkylcarbamoyl chloride) gives Cutimed Sorbact highly hydrophobic properties.Pathogenic bacteria and fungi, which are naturally hydrophobic, bind irreversibly to the wound dressing.This reduces the number of germs in the wound every time the dressing is changed, which creates optimal conditions for the natural wound healing process.

Cutimed Sorbact offers several advantages:

The Cutimed Sorbact basic range is available in different sizes and variants.The wound dressing is made of acetate or cotton fabric fibers coated with dialkylcarbamoyl chloride.It is suitable for antimicrobial wound therapy and is latex-free.

Areas of application for Cutimed Sorbact are all unclean, contaminated or infected wounds.These include chronic wounds such as venous, arterial or diabetic ulcers as well as pressure ulcers.Postoperative wounds and wound dehiscences, traumatic wounds, wounds after excision of fistulas and abscesses, and fungal skin infections can also be treated.

The duration of use of Cutimed Sorbact depends on the indication and is a maximum of three days.
