Suprasorb X + PHMB is a special wound dressing that has antimicrobial properties and fights a wide range of pathogens, including MRSA and VRE.A rapid and almost complete release of polihexanide (PHMB) from the wound dressing is shown in vitro within 24 hours.This bandage adapts flexibly to any wound shape and depth and is particularly suitable for areas of the body that are difficult to access.

Areas of application

SuprasorbThe PHMB dressing is suitable for a variety of wound bases, including necrotic, covered, granulating and epithelializing wounds.

Purpose

These HydroBalance biocellulose antimicrobial wound dressings and packs support wound healing by moisturizing and absorbing exudate from lightly to moderately exuding, superficial or deep, infectious or infected wounds.At the same time they inhibit microbial activity.

Indications

The dressing can be used on arterial and venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, superficial second degree burns, postoperative surgical wounds, skin grafts, split-thickness skin donor sites, and abrasions and lacerations.

No prescription is required for this product.When treating infected wounds, wound dressing should not be used as the sole therapeutic measure but should be complemented by medical therapy in accordance with local clinical protocols.

Tip

If the dressing dries, sufficient rehydration should be carried out with an exposure time of at least 10 minutes before removal.

Product composition

The dressing consists of water, cellulose and 0.3% polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB/polihexanide).
