Freka Drainjet® - Isotonic saline solution 0.9% NaCl

Freka Drainjet® is a sterile, isotonic saline solution that is suitable for both internal and external use.The solution contains 0.9% sodium chloride (NaCl) and is tailored to the physiological conditions in the body, which avoids osmotically caused fluid shifts.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

The saline solution can be used in various areas including:

Cleaning wounds and injuries: Freka Drainjet® is suitable for cleaning smaller, acute wounds and injuries as well as for rinsing fistulas and deeper chronic wounds.The solution helps to remove contaminated dirt from the wound area and promotes good wound healing.

Flushing of fistulas and drains: The solution can be used to flush fistulas and drains to avoid the accumulation of secretions and dead tissue.

Postoperative bladder irrigation: Freka Drainjet® can be used for bladder irrigation after urological procedures.

Cleaning dialysis systems: The sterile 0.9 percent sodium chloride solution can also be used to clean dialysis systems.

Moistening wound dressings: Adhered wound dressings can be moistened with the saline solution to make them easier to remove.

Application and handling

Freka Drainjet® is available in practical bellows bottles that enable easy and safe use.The integrated tip allows direct use for wound cleaning and irrigation without having to draw up the sterile liquid with a syringe.The flow speed can be regulated individually depending on how much pressure is exerted on the container.

To use it, the protective cap on the bottle is rotated 360° and removed.The tip of the bottle should not be touched to ensure sterility.Depending on the application, the bottle neck can be connected to the catheter hub or the wound can be irrigated directly.To empty it completely, the bellows bottle is compressed.

Instructions for use

Freka Drainjet® is not intended for infusion and infection.The isotonic saline solution must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to sodium chloride or any of the other ingredients of NaCl 0.9%.The sterility of the product is only guaranteed until the container is opened, so the contents of the bottle should be completely used up in one use.There is a risk of contamination if reused, which can lead to infection.

Shelf life and storage

Freka Drainjet® should not be used after the expiry date printed on the label.Use isotonic saline solution for cleaning wounds and irrigation only if the bottle is undamaged and the solution is clear and free of particles.Before use, please visually inspect the container carefully, ensuring minimal damage to the closure, seam and edges, as this may affect the sterility of the solution.Keep Freka Drainjet® out of the sight and reach of children.
