Instructions for use of the article BD Plastipak Syringe 50 ml Luer Eccentric: - Product characteristics: The syringe has a luer attachment with a volume of 50 ml. The hub is centric and the graduation is in 1 ml increments. The packaging should be checked for integrity and must not be used if damaged. The syringe is pyrogen-free and not suitable for oral use. After use, it should be disposed of in a designated sharps disposal container. - The product has the following features: three-piece syringe with tight-fitting double sealing ring, secure connection between syringe and cannula by the Luer/BD Luer-Lok attachment, easy and smooth sliding of the syringe plunger, accurate reading of the volume, syringe barrel and plunger rod made of polypropylene, plunger lubricant made of silicone oil. Products 309628, 309658, 309649 and 300912 are gamma sterilised, while all other products EO-are sterilised. The product is supplied in sterile individual packaging and is intended for single use. It is latex free and PVC-free. - Caution: If the filled syringe needs to be transported to the patient, the cannula should be securely covered with the cannula protection cap to minimise the risk of puncture injuries and infections. The protective cannula cap should not be pushed onto the cannula by force as this may cause injury. The cannula should be placed firmly on the syringe and turned clockwise. The protective cap should be pulled straight off. Reuse of the syringe may lead to infection or other diseases and is not recommended.
