Directions for use of Denisia 1 Rhinitis Tablets: Denisia No. 1 is a homeopathic medicine for the treatment of colds, especially acute rhinitis. It contains the active substance Allium cepa D4. People who are allergic to the active substance, wheat starch or other components of the medicine should not use it. Prolonged complaints, shortness of breath or fever require a visit to the doctor, and treatment of infants should only be carried out in consultation with a doctor. The dosage usually consists of taking one tablet every half hour to hour (maximum 6 times a day) for acute symptoms. Frequent use beyond one week should only be done in consultation with a therapist experienced in homeopathy. When the symptoms subside, it is recommended to take one tablet 1-3 times a day. Infants in the 1st year of life should receive one third of the adult dose, infants up to the age of 6 years half and children between the ages of 6 and 12 years two thirds of the adult dose. It should be taken half an hour before or after meals. No special precautions are required with regard to driving and operating machinery. Pregnant women should ask a doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine. Possible side effects of the medicine are hypersensitivity reactions to wheat starch, which do not occur in everyone. Temporary exacerbation of symptoms may occur and should be discussed with a doctor if necessary. The medicinal product should be kept at room temperature and out of the reach of children. The expiry date is stated on the container and outer wrapping. The medicinal product contains lactose and wheat starch. Patients with intolerance to certain sugars should therefore only take it after consulting a doctor. Wheat starch may contain small amounts of gluten, which are considered tolerable for patients with coeliac disease.
