Mepiform is a self-adhesive, thin, discreet and flexible bandage specifically designed for scar treatment.The dressing features a Safetac contact layer, a unique adhesive technology that minimizes patient pain and trauma to the skin when removing the dressing.

Mepiform consists of a breathable and shower-proof laminate layer made from polyurethane film and viscose fleece.The contact layer consists of a soft silicone adhesive known as Safetac.The components of the dressing material include polyacrylate, polyurethane, silicone and viscose.

Scope of application

Mepiform is designed for the treatment of old and new hypertrophic and keloid scars.It can also be used as a prophylactic therapy for closed wounds to prevent the formation of hypertrophic or keloid scars.

Precautions

Do not use Mepiform in patients with a known hypersensitivity to the materials or components of the product.If maceration or rash occurs, remove the dressing and allow the skin to recover until symptoms resolve.Then continue treatment by gradually increasing the duration of treatment.If symptoms persist, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
