Mepiform is a self-adhesive, thin and flexible silicone bandage that was specially developed for scar treatment.The dressing is discreet and features a Safetac contact layer, an innovative adhesive technology that minimizes pain and skin trauma during removal.

The bandage consists of a breathable and shower-proof laminate layer made from polyurethane film and viscose fleece.The contact layer consists of a soft silicone adhesive known as Safetac.The main components of the dressing material are polyacrylate, polyurethane, silicone and viscose.

Mepiform is suitable for the treatment of old and new hypertrophic and keloid scars.It can also be used prophylactically on closed wounds to prevent the formation of hypertrophic or keloid scars.

Precautions

Do not use Mepiform in patients with a known hypersensitivity to the materials or components of the product.If maceration or rash occurs, remove the dressing and allow the skin to recover until symptoms resolve.Then continue treatment by gradually increasing the duration of treatment.If symptoms persist, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
