Directions for use of Cartilago/Echinacea Comp. globules: Cartilago/Echinacea Comp. Globuli velati is an anthroposophical medicinal product for the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the small joints. It contains the active ingredients Articulatio interphalangea bovis Gl Dil. D16, Echinacea pallida e planta tota ferm 33c Dil. D1 and Quartz Dil. D29 aquos. The medicinal product acts by stimulating and harmonising formative and regenerative processes in inflammatory diseases of the small joints in accordance with the anthroposophical understanding of man and nature. It must not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of the active substances or to other composite plants, or in progressive systemic diseases such as tuberculosis, leukaemia, inflammatory diseases of the connective tissue, multiple sclerosis, AIDS-diseases, HIV-infections, chronic viral diseases and autoimmune diseases. If symptoms persist for a long time or are unclear, you should consult a doctor. The medicinal product should not be used in children under 12 years of age, as there is insufficient documented experience. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. The medicinal product contains sucrose and lactose, therefore persons intolerant to certain sugars should consult a doctor before use. There are no known interactions with other medicines. The AIDS-re HIV-commended dosage is 5-10 globuli velati up to 1 time daily, which should melt under the tongue. The medicine should not be taken for longer than 2 weeks without interruption. In the treatment of chronic diseases, consultation with the doctor is necessary. Very rarely, hypersensitivity reactions may occur. In case of skin rash, itching, facial swelling, shortness of breath, dizziness and drop in blood pressure, the medicine should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. If side effects occur, or if side effects not listed here occur, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or healthcare professional. You can also report side effects to the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices. The medicinal product should not be used after the expiry date.
