Use in children and adolescents

Different needle lengths and injection techniques are recommended for children and adolescents.Vertical injections without skin folds can be performed with a needle length of 4 mm.For vertical injections involving a skin fold, needles with a length of 5 or 6 mm are suitable.For oblique injections without a skin fold, a needle length of 6 mm is recommended, while for oblique injections with a skin fold, needles with a length of 8 mm should be used.

Use in adults

Adults can also use different needle lengths and injection techniques.Vertical injections without skin folds can be performed with 4 or 5 mm needles.For vertical injections involving a skin fold, needles with a length of 6, 8 or 12 mm are suitable.For oblique injections without a skin fold, needles with a length of 6, 8 or 12 mm are recommended, while for oblique injections with a skin fold, needles with a length of 12 mm should be used.

It is important to note that pen needles are disposable and should be discarded after each use.
