Silicium gel is a versatile product with various applications in skin care. It can be used for impure skin, after shaving and even as a deodorant. For impure skin, impurities can be dabbed with the silicon gel several times a day or covered with a cloth soaked in the gel. This is especially helpful after sunburn or insect bites and enhances the anti-inflammatory properties of the gel. In addition, masks with silicon gel can be used for skin with large pores, blemishes or oily skin. This mask helps to refine the pores and soothe irritated skin. The gel also has a firming effect and can thus help with connective tissue problems such as cellulite. Before electric shaving, the gel can be applied to tighten the skin and provide a smooth shave. After shaving (dry or wet), the gel can be applied to prevent redness. The silicon gel can also be used as a deodorant and helps to minimise heavy perspiration and sweat odour. It is free of perfume and alcohol, so it is well suited for sensitive skin. In foot care, the silicon gel keeps the foot dry and thus prevents typical foot problems such as sweaty odour, moist feet and athlete's foot. It can be applied thinly to the feet. The gel can also be used to tighten the gums. It should be diluted with water and rinsed thoroughly or applied to the gums.
