Information for use with the article Cherry pit cushion 10x10 cm Baby: The cherry pit cushion is an ancient home remedy from Switzerland and is also known as a dry hot water bottle. When heated in the oven or microwave, it becomes charged with heat and releases it specifically to the desired area. The cherry stone pillow baby is available in different designs and has a size of 10x10 cm. It is especially suitable for babies. For use as a heat pad in the oven, it is recommended to heat the pillow on the middle shelf at 130 °C (convection oven) or 150 °C (bottom and top heat) for about 3 minutes. It is important to use baking paper as a base and to add a cup of water to prevent the seeds from drying out. Alternatively, the pillow can be heated in the microwave. At a power of about 600 watts, the heating time is about 30 seconds. If necessary, the heating can be continued in 15-second intervals. The cushion can be heated on the radiator if less heat is required. It should be noted that the grain pillow should never be heated unattended, otherwise it may overheat and ignite. Before reheating, the pillow should cool down completely. The resulting moisture and the typical smell of the pillow are natural and contribute to the effect. The cherry pit pillow can also be used as a cold pillow by placing it in the refrigerator or freezer for several hours. To avoid foreign odours, the pillow should be packed in an airtight container. After use, the pillow should be allowed to air dry completely and stored in a dry place to avoid mould. Safety instructions: Before use, the temperature of the pillow should be checked, preferably with the back of the wrist. Permanent supervision is required for small children, as their temperature sensation may be different. The pillow should be checked for damage before use, especially that the seams are properly closed. Damaged cherry pit cushions should not be used as there is a risk of choking for small children due to small parts that can be swallowed.
