Glucomannan is a plant fiber obtained from the root of the tropical arum plant Konjac.The Konjac root has been cultivated as a food in Southeast Asia for around 3,000 years and is an important source of nutrition there. It is chopped, dried and ground and used like starch.In dried form, the root contains about 40% glucomannan, a substance similar to starch.In Europe, glucomannan is also used as a thickening and gelling agent.

These capsules contain konjac extract with a glucomannan content of 84%, capsule shell made from hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) and anti-caking agents made from vegetable magnesium salts of fatty acids.Each 6 capsules contains 3150 mg of konjac extract, including 3000 mg of glucomannan.This corresponds to the daily recommended consumption amount.

Dosage

The recommended use is to take 2 capsules whole with plenty of still water (at least 300 ml) 10 minutes before the three main meals every day.The health benefits are achieved by consuming 3 g of glucomannan daily (3 x 1 g) with 1-2 glasses of water before meals.There is a risk of suffocation if you have difficulty swallowing or if you do not drink enough fluids.
