Instructions for use for the Cleartest drug test THC test strips: Product characteristics: - The Cleartest THCdrug test strip is an immunoassay for the qualitative determination of the THCmetabolite in urine. - The detection limit is 50 ng/ml. - This test is intended for medical and professional in vitro use only. Test principle: - The test is based on the principle of competitive binding. - THC in urine competes with drug conjugates for binding sites of the antibody. - If THC is detected in the test sample, no coloured line appears in the test region. - If the sample is drug negative, a line will develop in the test region. - A coloured line in the control region of the test indicates correct sample volume and membrane wicking. Test performance: - Allow the test, urine sample and controls to reach room temperature. - Remove the test strip from the sealed package. - Dip the test strip vertically into the urine sample for 10-15 seconds. - Place the test strip on a flat surface and start the timer. - Interpret the results after 5 minutes, but not more than 10 minutes. Interpretation of the results: - Positive: A line appears in the control region (C) but no line appears in the test region (T). The THCconcentration exceeds the detection concentration. - Negative: Two lines appear, one in the control region (C) and one in the test region (T). The THCconcentration is below the detection concentration. - Invalid: No control line appears. Repeat the test according to the instructions. Precautions: - Use the test only for medical and professional in vitro purposes. - Store the test at room temperature or refrigerated. - Treat all specimens as potentially hazardous and infectious. - Dispose of the used test according to local regulations. Limitations: - The Cleartest THCdrug test strip provides only a preliminary analytical result. A secondary analytical method such as GC/MS is required for a confirmed result. - There may be technical or procedural problems that lead to false results. - A positive result indicates the presence of the drug or metabolite, but not the concentration. - A negative result indicates that the concentration of the drug is below the detection limit, but not that the sample is drug-free. - The test does not distinguish between drugs and medicines.
