Instructions for use of the article "Iscador Qu 5 mg Special Solution for Injection". Iscador Qu is an anthroposophical medicinal product used for treating tumour diseases. It serves to stimulate the formative and integrative forces for the dissolution and reintegration of independent growth processes. It can be used for malignant and benign tumour diseases, for the prevention of tumour recurrences after operations and for defined preliminary stages of cancer. Iscador Qu must not be used in cases of intolerance to mistletoe preparations, acute inflammatory or high febrile diseases, chronic granulomatous diseases, autoimmune diseases with severe signs of illness or an overactive thyroid gland with palpitations. The dosage of Iscador Qu is individual. A gradual dosage is recommended at the beginning of the therapy. The optimal strength or dose must be determined individually. During the maintenance phase, the treatment is continued. Rhythmic application with alternating doses and injection intervals is recommended. Side effects of Iscador Qu may include a slight increase in body temperature, localised inflammatory reactions around the injection site and temporary mild swelling of regional lymph nodes. Allergic or allergy-like reactions may also occur. A break in therapy of several weeks may lead to increased initial reactions. Iscador Qu should be stored in the refrigerator at 2 °C - 8 °C and kept out of the reach of children. The medicinal product should not be used after the expiry date.
