Horsetail herb medicinal tea is used internally for existing edema and those that have occurred after injuries, to flush the urinary tract and for kidney grit.Externally, it supports the treatment of poorly healing wounds.

Active ingredient and method of application

The active ingredient in this medicinal tea is horsetail herb.The tea can be used for drinking and poultices after making a tea infusion.

Dosage instructions

Unless otherwise prescribed, a cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows is drunk three times a day: two teaspoonfuls (approx. 2 g) of horsetail herb are poured with boiling water (approx. 150 ml) and after about 10 to 15 minutes, if necessary, strained through a tea strainer.To prepare poultices, use 10 g of horsetail herb in 1 liter of water.

Instructions for use

It is important to also drink plenty of fluids.If there is water retention (edema) as a result of restricted heart or kidney activity, flushing therapy is not indicated.No prescription is required for this product.

There are no known contraindications or interactions with other agents.

Side effects

There are no known side effects when using a tea infusion.

Storage instructions

Medicines should be kept out of the reach of children.The tea should be stored away from light and moisture.
