Amflee is a veterinary medicine for the treatment of flea and tick infestations and hair lice in dogs. It contains the active ingredient fipronil and is effective against hair lice within 2 days and against renewed flea infestations for up to 8 weeks. The acaricidal effect against ticks is maintained for up to 3 weeks. Amflee can also be used to treat flea allergy dermatitis. It should not be used in puppies under 2 months of age or sick animals. Side effects may include transient salivation and skin reactions at the application site. Accurate dosage according to the dog's body weight is important. The veterinary medicine should not be applied to wounds or skin lesions. Hands should be washed after application. Children should be kept away during application and freshly treated animals should not sleep with their owners. The medicinal product should not enter water bodies.
