PROPICUM® capsules are a food supplement containing 500 mg sodium propionate and come in a pack of 60 capsules. Sodium propionate is a salt of propionic acid, a short-chain fatty acid. The recommended intake is to take one capsule unchewed with liquid twice a day with meals. This provides a total daily dose of 1000 mg of sodium propionate. Short-chain fatty acids are produced daily by the intestinal bacteria and are important for both the intestinal bacteria and the human body. Therefore, regular use over a longer period of time is recommended. In addition to sodium propionate, the capsules also contain separating agents tricalcium phosphate (E341), silicic acid (E551) and magnesium salts of fatty acids (E470b). The capsule shell consists of pure vegetable hydroxypropylmethylcellulose. It is important to note that food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and the recommended daily intake should not be exceeded. In addition, the capsules should be kept out of the reach of children.
