Instructions for use of the article Rheubalmin heat pad: The Rheubalmin® heat pad is used to treat cramps and tension in the back, hip and lumbar areas. It relieves muscle and joint pain, such as knee pain and pain in the arm joints. The heat pad gives off a pleasant deep warmth for up to 8 hours. It is placed on the painful area and fixed in place with the adhesive patches. The application is one-time and must not be used on children under 12 years of age or during sleep. If there is redness, inflammation, skin tears, bruising or skin irritation, the heat pad must not be used. It is also not recommended for use in conjunction with rubbing agents or heat sources, or for bedridden persons and patients with a tendency to skin ulcers. The heat pad must be removed before magnetic resonance imaging. In case of unpleasantly strong heat, lack of pain relief after one week or other complaints, a doctor should be consulted. The heat pad is for external use only and must not be burnt, bent, cut or brought into contact with liquids. If the skin becomes red after application, another heat pad should not be used until this redness has subsided. People with poor circulation, heart disease, diabetes, nerve damage, skin conditions or during pregnancy should consult a doctor before use. Keep the heat pad out of the reach of children and pets and protect it from direct sunlight. Dispose of with household waste.
