Summary: Doppelherz Lactase 4.500 tablets are food supplements containing the enzyme lactase. They are used to treat lactose intolerance to enable the enjoyment of milk and dairy products. The tablets contain 4,500 FCC-units of lactase per tablet and can be taken before or during the consumption of products containing lactose. The dosage can be individually adjusted depending on the degree of lactose intolerance and the amount of lactose ingested. The enzyme is sensitive to cold and heat, so a higher dosage may be required for very cold foods. The product is free from fructose, colourings, flavourings, sugar substitutes and animal ingredients. The tablets are manufactured by Queisser Pharma GmbH & Co KG . No more than 2 tablets should be taken per day. Persons under 12 years of age should not use the product and persons with lactose intolerance should seek advice regarding their diet.
