Each film-coated tablet contains 120 mg of quantified, refined dry extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves (35 - 67: 1), extractant: acetone 60% (m/m).The extract is quantified to contain 22.0 - 27.0% flavonoids, calculated as flavonol glycosides, 2.8 - 3.4% ginkgolides A, B and C, 2.6 - 3.2% bilobalide and contains a maximum of 5 ppm ginkgolic acids.

The other components are:

Tablet core: Croscarmellose sodium, colloidal silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate (Ph.Eur.) [pflanzlich], microcrystalline cellulose, spray-dried glucose syrup.

Film coating: Macrogol 3350, poly(vinyl alcohol), talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), iron (III) hydroxide oxide x H2O (E 172).

Dosage

The recommended dose for adults is 1 Ginkgo AbZ 120 mg film-coated tablet twice daily (corresponding to 240 mg ginkgo dry extract daily).It should be taken twice daily in the morning and afternoon.The tablets should be swallowed whole with liquid, preferably a glass of drinking water.It can be taken regardless of meals.The duration of treatment should be at least 8 weeks.

Patient information
