Ginkgo AbZ 240 mg film-coated tablets with ginkgo biloba are a herbal medicinal product for improving age-related cognitive impairment and quality of life in mild dementia. The film-coated tablets contain a dry extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves, which contains a mixture of flavonoids and ginkgolides. The recommended dosage is one film-coated tablet twice a day, to be taken with a glass of water regardless of meals. The duration of treatment should be at least 8 weeks. Children and adolescents under 18 years of age as well as persons with hypersensitivity to the ingredients should not take the medicine. Possible side effects include headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, lower abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. There are no special storage requirements for the medicine.
