Ginkgo AbZ 80 mg Film-Coated Tablets are a herbal medicinal product containing a dry extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves. It is used to improve age-related cognitive impairment and quality of life in mild dementia. The recommended dose for adults is 1.5 film-coated tablets twice daily, for a total of 240 mg of dry ginkgo extract per day. It should be taken in the morning and in the afternoon. There is no corresponding indication for children and adolescents. The duration of treatment should be at least 8 weeks. If there is no improvement after 3 months, a doctor should check whether the treatment should be continued. The medicine should not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Side effects may include headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, lower abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. It may interact with certain medicines. The medicine should be kept away from heat.
