Dulcosoft solution is a medical product for treating constipation and softening hard stools. It contains the active ingredient macrogol 4000, which binds water and thus increases the fluid content in the intestine. This softens hard stools and makes bowel movements easier. Dulcosoft solution is used for constipation and irregular, hard stools. It should not be taken if you are hypersensitive to macrogol or other ingredients of the product, in inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal perforation, intestinal obstruction or pain in the abdomen of unknown cause. Particular caution is advised in patients prone to disturbances of water or salt balance. Side effects such as diarrhoea, abdominal pain, nausea and flatulence may occur when taking Dulcosoft solution. Pregnant and breastfeeding women can take the medicine, but should consult their doctor beforehand. The dosage depends on age and need and can be measured with the enclosed dosage cup. Dulcosoft solution is taken diluted and is suitable for daily use. It should be taken as needed, but not for longer than 3 months in children. The medical product is well tolerated and works gently and naturally. It is suitable for senior citizens and children from 2 years of age.
