DulcoSoft powder is a medical product for the treatment of constipation. It contains the osmotically active ingredient macrogol 4000, which binds water and increases the fluid content in the colon. This softens hard stools and makes bowel movements easier. The powder is dissolved in liquid and can be taken in a drink to taste. The recommended dose for adults and children 8 years and older is 1-2 sachets per day. The effect usually sets in after 24-72 hours. DulcoSoft powder can be taken for a longer period of time, but not longer than 3 months for children. Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers can also use the medical product. The effectiveness of the product remains unchanged even after prolonged use. It is important to keep the medical product out of the reach of children and not to use it after the expiry date.
