Directions for use of the article Cleartest Breath Alcohol Test: - Cleartest Breath Alcohol Test is a screening test that can be used to detect the presence of alcohol or to prevent drunk driving. - The test is accurate, reliable and easy to use, provides results in 2 minutes and is based on a chemical reaction. - It is designed for semi-quantitative and rapid detection of alcohol in exhaled breath and provides information on relative blood alcohol concentration. - The test comes with tests, package insert and optionally an air bag, and a stopwatch is also required. - Before the test, one should wait 15 minutes after the last alcohol intake or drink a glass of water. - The test is performed by placing the mouthpiece of the test in the mouth and either blowing forcefully into the mouthpiece or inserting the test into an air bag and blowing forcefully into the mouthpiece of the test. - The result is read after 2 minutes by checking the colour of the majority of the crystals. - A negative result indicates that the relative blood alcohol concentration is below the detection limit of the test, while a positive result indicates that the relative blood alcohol concentration is above the detection limit. - Several precautions are recommended such as observing the expiry date, using the test correctly and disposing of the test properly. - The test should be performed by a sober person and cannot detect the exact blood alcohol concentration.
