Instructions for use for MG 10% Inresa injection solution
MG 10% Inresa injection solution contains the active ingredient magnesium sulfate heptahydrate.This preparation is used to treat tetany caused by magnesium deficiency.Before therapy begins, electrolyte status should be checked to ensure that serum magnesium levels are below normal and serum calcium levels are normal.
Areas of application
The solution for injection is used to treat muscle cramps (tetany) caused by a magnesium deficiency.These cramps can also be signs of a calcium deficiency.Therapy with MG 10% Inresa is only indicated if the serum magnesium level is below normal values (0.73 - 1.03 mmol/l) and the serum calcium level is normal (2.25 - 2.6 mmol/l).
Contraindications
MG 10% Inresa injection solution must not be used in myasthenia gravis, AV-Block I.-III.Grade or other cardiac conduction disorders, severe renal insufficiency, anuria, desiccosis and in patients with magnesium-calcium-ammonium phosphate stones.Concurrent use with barbiturates, narcotics, or hypnotics is not recommended due to the risk of respiratory depression.
Side effects
When magnesium sulfate heptahydrate is administered intravenously, a feeling of warmth and flushing may occur.Injecting too quickly may cause temporary nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, headache, tingling, sweating, severe dizziness, agitation, agitation, tremor and a more intense feeling of warmth.At high doses, bradycardia, conduction disorders and peripheral vasodilatation with a decrease in blood pressure can occur.
Composition
One ampoule with 10 ml solution for injection contains 1.0 g magnesium sulfate heptahydrate (MgSO4 ·7H2O), which corresponds to 4.05 mmol magnesium.The solution also contains water for injection purposes and sulfuric acid for pH adjustment.
Application instructions
