Quickpad are soaked swabs intended for use on the skin.The active ingredient is 2-propanol (Ph. Eur.) with a proportion of 70% (V/V).These swabs are used to disinfect the skin before injections.No prescription is required for this product.

Contraindications

Quickpad must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to 2-propanol (isopropyl alcohol), for skin disinfection before procedures that require a larger opening than an injection, for antiseptic of open wounds, for mucous membrane antisepsis, especially in the eyes, and for skin disinfection in premature babies.

Warnings and precautions for use

Quickpad must not be used on mucous membranes, especially in the eyes.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

When used properly, Quickpad can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Interactions with other agents

To date, there are no known interactions with other medications.

Dosage instructions and method of application

To disinfect the skin, the affected area should be wiped with Quickpad and then allowed to dry.The minimum exposure time is 15 seconds.

Duration of application

Quickpad can be used without a time limit.

Side effects

In very rare cases, skin redness and a slight burning sensation may occur when using 2-propanol (Ph. Eur.) 70% (V/V).

Notes on durability

The expiry date of this pack is stated on the plastic container.Do not use this pack after this date.Once opened, the product has a shelf life of six months.

Storage instructions

Quickpad should be protected from fire, tightly closed and kept out of the reach of children.

Composition

A plastic container with 150 soaked swabs contains 0.41 g of 2-propanol (Ph. Eur.) 70% (V/V) as a medicinally active ingredient and 0.12 g of non-woven polypropylene swab as an other ingredient per swab.
